| The Blue-bellied Black Snake or Spotted Black Snake has a robust body and is usually grey to glossy black in colour with scattered pale spots.Some species are dark with no pattern while others are cream with black-tipped scales. The underbelly is bluish-grey. | |||||||

| Mainly diurnal. When this snake is threatened, it will flatten it's neck and forebody and hiss loudly. | |||||||
