Description:
This snake is very small and slender with a red-orange blotch on it's neck. It's head and neck is glossy black, totally enclosing the red neck blotch. The body is reddish-brown with dark edged scales giving the snake a reticulated appearance.
 
Size:
Adults 35 - 45 cm
 
Behaviour:
Nocturnal. Not inclined to bite.
 
Prey:
Mainly small skinks
 
Reproduction:
Females lay up to 5 eggs in a clutch.
