| The Taipan ranges in colour from light to dark brown with a distinctly paler head which darkens with age . The underbelly is cream with orange blotches. This snake has a long head which is distinct from it's neck. The eyes are brownish-red. | |||||||

| This snake is extremely alert with keen vision. It is a nervous snake and is quick to flee if approached. If threatened, the Taipan will defend itself aggressively, biting with great speed and accuracy. | |||||||

| Reproduction: | |||||||
| Females lay up to 25 eggs in a clutch. | |||||||
